Air Freight to Edmonton (YEG)
Edmonton sits roughly 300km from Calgary in the same province — but doesn't share Calgary's new WestJet/Korean Air interline story. Edmonton has documented charter cargo history with Korean Air, not a currently active service.

We checked Calgary's exact situation for Edmonton too — a WestJet-style new widebody route or comparable carrier interline — and found nothing equivalent. Calgary's new /to/calgary story (WestJet's Seoul/Tokyo routes, interlined with Korean Air) is real and specific to Calgary; we're not going to imply Edmonton has anything similar without our own confirmed data behind it.

How cargo actually reaches YEG
route-data.json has zero confirmed ASEAN/India routes landing directly at YEG today. Cargo clears customs at Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal on one of those gateways' confirmed international routings, then moves to Edmonton on Air Canada's domestic network — real, confirmed redistribution legs, not an invented workaround.

What lands at YEG
Derived from the commodities landing at YEG's real feeder gateways (YYZ, YVR, YUL) — Edmonton has no direct route of its own to measure this against yet.

Settlement
How a shipment landing at YEG actually settles
Every AWB we issue — whichever carrier operates the flight into YEG — settles through our single Halifax IATA accreditation and its CASS enrollment. How IATA's Cargo Accounts Settlement System actually works between agents, carriers, and IATA — and how UAL's own accreditation runs through it.

Which Incoterm applies to cargo arriving at YEG?
FCA, CPT, and CIP govern air freight under Incoterms 2020 — FOB and CIF are sea-freight-only terms, and using them on an air shipment is a common, meaningful error. The named Incoterm on the commercial invoice decides who arranges freight, insurance, and import clearance at Edmonton — confirm it before booking, not after the AWB is issued.

Neutral, not carrier-tied
We route cargo into YEG via whichever carrier is fastest or has capacity that week — not whichever pays us the best override.
One settlement, every gateway
Every AWB settles through our single Halifax IATA accreditation, regardless of which Canadian airport actually receives the cargo.
Direct AWB issuance
We issue the House AWB ourselves and hold the Master AWB relationship with the operating carrier directly — no forwarder-of-forwarder markup added on top of the carrier rate.
Frequently asked questions
Korean Air's own destinations list carries Edmonton as a charter cargo entry — distinct from Calgary, which is marked outright terminated. But Korean Air Cargo's own current branch listing covers only Halifax, Toronto, and Vancouver in Canada, with no Edmonton office, and we found no active schedule, press release, or 2024-2026 news confirming a live charter program. The most likely explanation is residual documentation from COVID-era medical-supply charter flights Korean Air ran into Canada in 2020-2021, not a current standing service. We're flagging this as real documented history, not current service — a different, more specific nuance than Winnipeg or Ottawa's clean zero.
